our friend was saying me and Nek were like ‘real life Sunny in Philly’ and i will concede i was kind of rudderless and w/out role models prior to that show. i mean, i wasn’t reading or watching a lot of tv during my ‘lost years’ hoboing drunk where ever so maybe like a baby duck imprinting on the first thing it sees, so am i to ‘Sunny in Philly.’

w/ that said, i got my first artist grant [in Elliott Smith parlance] from the city. i was already sponsored via foodstamps but i’ve moved up from ‘flow’ status to fullblown ‘am’ via $230 i received today. they better not do an episode where ‘the gang’ has a bunch of kids to make their checks bigger cause dammit, i can’t separate sitcom fiction from my waking life sometimes.

for anyways, i took $220 out the machine at a cost of $3 which i’m not stoked about but it’s money for nothing and i don’t feel entitled so much as blessed. Biz came by w/ some angle iron, 3 pieces of stoke right there!

i’m glad he’s taking Grafton Holler Midnight Construction seriously even if everyone else is lagging. Dirtnek and myself come up w/ concepts but it’s like drunk talk or coke talk cause not too much follow up follows up. we have built the bulk of the DIY obstacles but given that neither of us are employed we could be doing a lot more. i’ve got the motivation but can’t drive. Nek can drive when his wife lets him and doesn’t drag him to damn ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ or other bullshit.

Biz is on a severely sprained ankle and Nam is on a good drunk. which leads to me sitting around w/ a thumb up my ass listening to this song over and over like crimson and clover.

if i haven’t been as productive as i would’ve liked, i did get us a budget for cement, gorilla glue and whatever we can’t salvage from our friends in construction. skated down Grafton Hill to Kenmore Diner, ollied the guardrail to bank a few times so i’ll be able to film something w/ minimal hesitation one of these days. i eyed the pillars supporting 290 and put them at about 7 feet, kind of tiny when considering the weight they hold every day. our next project should be a bank going up the pillar, a space and another bank so’s to allow wallrides over a gap.

that and we’ve got a knee high loading dock we’re going to install a backside [for regular foot] hubba-ish ledge.

i still haven’t gotten anyone to film me since the 50-50 at the last ledge we built [w/ the big drop] so it’s really a stressful time for a type A looser. and people think i’m the lazy welfare bum. jeesh!

it’s enough to make me wanna pop one of my prescribed Benzos and zombie out.

lata potata.
